What is psychosexual therapy?
Psychosexual Therapy is a talking therapy that looks at exploring the causes of sexual dysfunctions or sexual disorders. By talking about your sexual issue(s), we can explore how various factors, including medical, biological and relationships, past and present, may have contributed to and affected your sexual functioning. I may ask you to see your GP or a specialist healthcare professional to conduct further examinations and tests to rule out any medical factors. You may have seen them already, so this information will help us understand your sexual issues more clearly. We can then look at an appropriate treatment plan for you to do at home, either by yourself or with your partner.
The best outcome is usually when your partner also attends the sessions, as they will be able to understand the sexual issue(s) more clearly and how to perform the various activities in the treatment plan. However, you do not need to attend with your partner. You don’t even have to have an active sex life to benefit from Psychosexual Therapy if something sexually is bothering you.
Sexual problems
Living with a long-term sexual problem can make you feel you have something shameful and embarrassing to discuss, even with your partner. Experiencing sexual pain can also take its toll on your sex life, relationship, and well-being. Psychosexual Therapy can give you a way to talk about your sexual issues in a confidential, safe and supportive environment, ultimately changing your sex life for the better, forever.

Book an Appointment
Booking an initial appointment will help us discuss your concerns in more depth. I can then see how I can help. If I can help, and you feel I am the right person for you, we can then organise ongoing sessions. All sessions are weekly.
